Personnel

Getting started with Personnel

What is the Personnel module?

The Personnel module lets you register the employees in your organization and track whether they have accepted the policies that apply to them. It is the foundation for demonstrating that your staff are aware of and have accepted your information security policies.

With Personnel you can:

  • Register employees with their contact details and organizational roles
  • Organize employees into groups
  • Assign policies to groups so each group member must acknowledge them
  • Invite employees to log in to Tidal Control and complete their policy tasks
  • Track compliance progress per employee and across the organization

Navigating the module

Open the Personnel module from the main menu. The module is split into two tabs:

  • People — a list of all registered persons
  • Groups — a list of all groups

The compliance dashboard

At the top of the People overview you see a compliance dashboard with two tiles:

Compliant tile

Shows how many employees have completed all their required policy acknowledgements out of the total number of registered employees.

Needs attention tile

Breaks down the employees who still need action, split into four categories:

| Category | What it means | |---|---| | To assign to group | Employees not yet assigned to any group | | To assign policy task(s) | Employees in a group, but the group has no policies assigned yet | | To give access | Employees with policy tasks, but no login access to Tidal Control | | To accept | Employees with access who still have open policy acceptance tasks |

Work through these categories from top to bottom to bring your organization to full compliance.

The People table

Each row in the People table shows:

  • Name — first and last name of the person
  • Email — email address
  • Roles — the organizational role(s) assigned to this person
  • Access — whether the person has a Tidal Control login; shows an invite button if not
  • Groups — how many groups this person is in (hover to see which groups)
  • Progress — a ring showing how many of their assigned checks they have completed
