The new guided onboarding
Step-by-step guidance towards ISO 27001 compliance
The Getting Started page has been completely redesigned. It now includes a built-in guide that walks you through everything you need to do for ISO 27001, from setting up your organization and plan, through implementation to certification.
Stuck somewhere during implementation? The guide helps you through it with contextual tips that explain what you need to do and why it matters, including our built-in progress monitoring and tests that collect evidence.
This feature is currently in beta and will be further expanded in upcoming releases.
Web Security Scanner integration
Automatic insight into your web security
Connect your domain to automatically run security scans and detect vulnerabilities. In this first version, we validate the configuration of SSL/TLS certificates — the protocols that ensure a secure connection between your website and visitors — and report any misconfigurations.
The scope of this integration will be further expanded in future releases.
New framework: BSI C5 2020
Cloud compliance for the European, especially German market
The BSI C5 2020 framework (Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue) is now available. This is a cloud security framework developed by the German government. You can now map your controls to C5 2020 criteria to support cloud security compliance.
Improvements & integrations
Smoother workflows in and around Tidal
- The sidebar has been refined with an improved layout and smoother navigation. You can now collapse and expand it for more workspace, and "My Overview" has been renamed to Dashboard for better clarity.
- The two-way Jira integration, where changes in both Tidal and Jira are automatically synchronized, has been improved with support for deadlines and an enhanced search function when linking tickets.
- Finally, a new Azure test has been added that verifies whether access to the Azure Entra Admin Portal is restricted. This helps you enforce the principle of least privilege — users only get the access they truly need, nothing more.
Dashboard & documents
More oversight, less manual work
- The open tasks chart on Dashboard now also shows unassigned tasks, grouped under 'Others'. This gives you a complete overview of everything that still needs to be picked up, not just tasks already assigned to specific users.
- Policies and Required Documents are now automatically saved while you edit them — you no longer need to do anything yourself.
Bug Fixes & improvements
This release also includes several bug fixes and improvements:
- Incorrect number of open tasks on the Dashboard corrected
- Filtering on 'Approved' vendors also showed 'Not Started' vendors, resolved
- 'Unknown' user was displayed in overviews, resolved
- Scrolling on the control overview page got stuck after the first page when selecting a task, resolved
- Missing filters on the Issues page added (frameworks, status, reviewed, period)
- Bug fixed where the 'period' field could not be set as optional when creating tasks
- Bug in the Azure VMs Trusted Launch Secure Boot test resolved
- Loading performance of policy history improved
