Spring has arrived and Tidal is brimming with innovations that simplify and accelerate your compliance processes. This quarter we introduced the new user interface, but we've also added many automations and frameworks - specially developed for growing teams like yours.
New Controls Overview Page (beta)
We've launched a beta version of the new Controls overview page. This page brings controls and tasks together in one clear screen, reducing the number of clicks needed and allowing you to work faster.
In Q2, we'll also be updating the sidebars so you can complete tasks directly without switching between different screens. Soon you'll also be able to maintain the Controls themselves via the sidebars, making administrators' work even more efficient.
Lightning-fast loading, even with large-scale usage
The new Controls page provides access to enormous amounts of information, which initially led to page refresh delays. After intensive performance improvements in recent months, all pages now load at lightning speed - even for our largest customers. This speed boost paves the way for even more powerful dashboards and features.
Expanded testing capability with new test page
Last Friday, we launched the completely redesigned test page, with the ability to refresh all tests at once!
We've also provided clear explanations for all tests to help fix underlying causes, and we've added the link between policies and controls, as promised in the previous update.
Additionally, we've added more than 40 new tests over the past quarter, including:
- 13 Microsoft Azure tests (Intune, AKS, IAM, patching, DB, encryption)
- 7 new Tidal tests that check if activities were performed correctly
- 6 policy tests that check for existence, approval, and periodic reviews
- 5 Kandji tests
- 5 Gitlab tests
Tidal now contains nearly 100 tests, reducing the number of manual tasks by an average of 30-35%.
Personal dashboard: My Overview
We've added a new personal dashboard that provides a complete overview of your outstanding tasks, issues, and relevant tests. In the coming months, we'll be expanding this dashboard so you can see even better where attention is needed.
New frameworks
This year, several important laws in the field of information security will come into effect, including DORA and NIS2. Tidal now also supports this new regulation with the following added frameworks: DORA (NOREA version), NIS2 Cyber Fundamentals, and NIS2 Quality Mark.
We've also added the ABDO framework for teams that have contracts with the Ministry of Defense.
Tidal AI improvements
We've processed your feedback about the Tidal AI bot and added new functionality: Tidal AI can now also assist you in conducting a business impact analysis (BIA), directly within the platform.
How does it work? Simple. You ask TidalBot to perform a BIA for a specific business asset. With sufficient information, Tidal AI will immediately recommend a CIA classification (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability). Otherwise, you'll receive a series of specific follow-up questions to easily determine the impact of a potential breach on your business asset.
In the next update...
We're already hard at work on the next improvements, including Standard tasks, a new Third Party Management module, and further developments around Tidal AI.
